Our Affirmation

We affirm unity in diversity, inviting and welcoming all people
into our congregation, according to the call of God and the
model of Jesus of Nazareth.

We desire our worship life to be warm, lively, hopeful, friendly, comforting, challenging and exciting. Our worship style is to seek moments of peace and joy in both formal and informal settings.  Within this context we emphasize strong  preaching, excellence in music, and intercessory prayer.
We meet for worship:

SUNDAYS at 10 a.m.
and for special services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve.
Our Nurture

Nursery childcare is provided during worship. Learning Community and Junior Classes leave the worship service after a children's time. A biblically and ethically based curriculum provides the core content. Children of all ages are encouraged to learn at their pace and level of comfort. Safety and warm relationships are emphasized.

  Our Sacraments
The Lord's Supper is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
Baptism is celebrated within the worship service by prior arrangement with the pastor.

  Our Rites
The rites of Marriage, Memorial Services and Funerals, reception into membership and confirmation are scheduled with the pastor. Our installed pastor performs all such rites within the life of our congregation.

Our book study groups "Readers N Seekers" are on hiatus for the summer.  They usually meet on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
.
A Bible Study led by the Pastor meets Tuesdays evenings at 2 p.m.

Taize service

The last Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.  Styled after the thrice-daily worship services at the ecumenical Community of Reconciliation in the hills outside the little village of Taize in France, these short (45 minutes) services combine musical chanting and silence.  The repetition of the chants helps to free our minds of “chatter” so that we can reach the place of silence within ourselves wherein we may become aware of God, the Mystery in whose Being we live and move and have our being.  We come away from these services feeling relaxed and refreshed, peaceful and, often, joyful. Our Fellowship

Our Congregation is divided into parishes each under the care of a Deacon who assists in pastoral responsibilities. Our diverse fellowship activities include a coffee hour after worship, a monthly fun night, special dinners, programs and celebrations. Our high school and mid-high groups meet monthly.
